This is a personal site with no accounts, forms, comments or ads. It sets no cookies of its own, and I don't sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Cloudflare hosts the site. Like any web host, it receives the details every request carries, including your IP address, your browser and the page you asked for, and it uses them to deliver the page and to protect the site from attacks. Its dashboard shows me reports drawn from that traffic, and its privacy policy describes how it handles the data.

The site counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare adds a script to each page as it serves it, and for each page you view it records the page, the site that linked you here, how quickly the page loaded, and your country, device type, browser and operating system. Cloudflare says it uses no cookies or local storage for this and doesn't track visitors over time by their IP address or browser. Its reports show me totals, such as how many visits a page had, never one person's visits. A content blocker that stops the script doesn't affect the site.

If you switch between light and dark, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so that the next page opens in it. It never leaves your device, and clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.

Cloudflare can set security cookies: __cf_bm when its bot protection is on, and cf_clearance when your browser passes one of its checks. Cloudflare describes both as strictly necessary. They help it tell people from bots, and the site never reads them.

Posts link to their sources, and many to their recordings on Spotify and Apple Podcasts; the other pages link to my projects, profiles and photos elsewhere. Nothing from those sites is embedded here, so none of them hears from your browser unless you follow a link. Links to other sites open in a new tab and don't tell the site you open that you came from here. Once you're there, its own privacy policy applies.

If you email me, I receive your address and whatever you write. I use them only to reply, and I'll delete them if you ask.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information is held about you and to have it corrected or deleted. Email me with any such request, including one about what Cloudflare processes for the site.
